Before you install

This is an unsigned Windows preview. Native installation, model performance, and hardware compatibility still need a real laptop trial. Read the included guide and the requirements below.

FROM ZIP TO YOUR FIRST CONVERSATION

Keep this page nearby while you set up. The full package includes guides for the Windows preview and its local AI components. If you tried an earlier preview, export a backup there and import it in oruvano Settings.

    Save the ZIP on your Windows computer.

    Use the download button above. If you’re reading on a phone, open this same site on the laptop you want to use.

    Extract the entire folder.

    In File Explorer, right-click oruvano_Preview_0_3.zip and choose Extract All. Open the extracted oruvano_Preview_0_3 folder so the setup file and guides stay together. Windows may place it inside another folder with the same name.

    Open the Windows installer.

    Run oruvano_Setup_Preview_0_3.exe from the extracted folder. This preview is unsigned. If Windows blocks it, keep your security settings enabled and record the exact message so we can investigate. The final installer page offers Open oruvano.

    Name your assistant.

    oruvano opens its local interface in your browser. Choose a name, set the conversation style and response length, then click Save & continue. You can change these preferences later.

    Start the guided local AI setup.

    Choose Set up on this computer. oruvano downloads its local Ollama engine and Qwen starter model from their official sources. Keep oruvano open while the roughly 4 GB download and model check finish.

    When ready, click Start the conversation and bring an idea you want to work through. Performance and answers depend on the model and your laptop. To shut down afterward, use Settings → Quit oruvano; closing the browser tab leaves the app running.
